Laattajan hirsipirtti is traditional log house/log cabin in the middle of hilly landscapes in Northern Kainuu region. Location is approximately in the center of the triangle, which vertexes are Hyrynsalmi, Puolanka and Suomussalmi. Log house is suitable for accommodation and for organizing small-scale parties and meetings. Log house has been renovated. Kitchen and WC (with shower) have been renovated in 2022. There is a shower in the WC. Two bedrooms, one with double bed, another with double bed, a single bed and a bed for a child. An extra bed in the living room. Heating is provided by electric radiators in all rooms. In addition, the living room has a large baking oven and wood stove. The second bedroom has fireplace. The WC has floor heating. In the yard, there is a separate sauna with wood-burning sauna stove. Washing water is traditionally heated in a cauldron. Firewood can be picked up from the woodshed in the yard.
