Description
Sirena Beach House
On the ground floor of the villa is the living room with an indoor fireplace, a TV, a large sofa, and an armchair. The living room is dominated by a wood-burning fireplace, a feature often replaced by televisions in modern homes. The fireplace evokes the tradition of gathering people in the evenings after a day of working in the fields or fishing. Although the invention of electricity has largely replaced these customs, the subconscious part of our minds still enjoys watching the flames dance or hearing the traditional fire-breathing ritual. When you combine this feeling with the melancholic whisper of the waves near Villa Sirena, the pleasure is simply priceless. An interesting detail about the fireplace is that its side walls are made from 400kg sills salvaged from old houses on Brač. The owner had to use his hands and ingenuity to hoist them into place. The kitchen is also located on the first floor and is a blend of tradition and modernity. It's furnished in a retro style (there's even a traditional, fully functional bread oven) but is equipped with modern appliances such as a large double-door refrigerator with an ice maker, a stovetop, an oven, a microwave, a toaster, a coffee maker, a kettle, and, of course, all the necessary utensils for a large group staying for several days. This floor also includes a toilet and one of the three bathrooms, which features a whirlpool tub and a whirlpool shower.
On the lower floor, or in the high basement, there's another large room that serves as a bedroom with a king-size bed and a sofa bed.
On the first floor, there are two bedrooms with king-size beds, each with an en-suite bathroom, air conditioning, and magnificent beach views.
