Distance to Malpensa airport is 40 minutes and about 50 minutes to Milan with its numerous cultural offerings. Turin, another major historic center of northern Italy is 1.5 hours. There is a direct hourly train (45 minutes) from Stresa train station (about 2 km from the apartment) to Milan. There is one parking space next to the building as well as on street parking about 200ms away. You can walk to the center of Stresa in about 15 minutes and bit more on the way back as part of the way is steep given the apartments location on the hill side. There is also a local bus leaving from town and to town but with non frequent schedule.
