Pescara Abruzzo Airport (easy and cheap connection with Ryanair) is half an hour away and the magnificent Appenines can be reached in about 40 minutes. Surroundings: The Abruzzo region offers something for everyone. There is the beautiful Adriatic coast with both sandy beaches (Montesilvano, Pescara) and pebble beaches (Ortona, Chieti). Pescara is a young hip port city with an abundance of shops, bars and restaurants. Nature lovers can indulge themselves in the Apennines and the accompanying natural park "National Park Gran Sasso e Monti della Laga".
