Distance to ski area: ~150 m Top location near cable car & piste, La Plagne/ParadiSki ski area (~150m). The cosy chalet has free WLAN, sauna and open fireplace. Large entrance hall on the ground floor of the chalet. Here is also the sauna, a bedroom (2 single beds) as well as a bathroom with shower/washbasin and a separate WC. On the 1st floor you can enjoy the cosy and spacious living/dining room with fireplace seating area; from here you have access to the open mezzanine (sofa bed for 2 people) and access to the panoramic balcony. On this floor there is also a bathroom with shower/washbasin, a separate WC, a bedroom with double bed and a triple bedroom. On the 2nd floor there is a bathroom with shower/washbasin/WC, a bedroom with a double bed and a triple room. The occupancy of the chalet is limited to 12 people, even if more sleeping accommodation is available. Ski info Altitude of chalet: 1,250 m. Ski area up to 3,250 m with glacier. With 425 km of pistes, one of the world's largest ski areas; 157 lifts. Skiing from approx. mid-December to the end of April. Champagny is well connected with modern 6-seater express chairlifts to the Bellecôte glacier and Les Arcs. The valley descent back to the village is covered with snow. A highlight is the 10-km mega descent from the 'Roche de Mio' glacier outpost to the village, with a difference in altitude of over 1,500 metres. Plenty of deep-snow options around the Verdons summit. Children's/practice lift (free) and ski school area at the top station of the cable car at 2,000 m altitude. The new "Pic-Nic-Chalet" with sun terrace is also located next to the mountain station. Tip: Excursion to the neighbouring 3 Vallées ski area, to Courchevel only ~15 min. by car. Summer info The chalet has a garden table and chairs as well as a parasol and a sun lounger. There is also a charcoal barbecue. Sports activities such as hiking, climbing, mountain biking, adventure trail, tennis, fishing and paragliding offer plenty of variety for young and old. Exhibitions, jazz concerts in the baroque church of St Sigismond. Popular with children: adventure course and outdoor pool. The highlight is certainly the largest national park in France, the "Parc National de la Vanoise" with ~500 km of marked hiking trails.
