The numerous beaches of 𝗦𝗮𝗻 𝗧𝗲𝗼𝗱𝗼𝗿𝗼, all reachable in a few minutes from the town centre, are among the most beautiful in Sardinia, famous all over the world for their white sand and incomparable transparency of the sea. The closest beaches to the town centre, just over 1 km away, are La Cinta (entrance on the south side), along Via del Tirreno, and Cala d'Ambra, reached via the tree-lined avenue of Via Cala d'Ambra. Lastly, L' Isuledda and Costa Caddu . The remaining beaches, all at distances of between 8 and 15 km from the city centre, can be reached by following the S.S. 125 (Orientale Sarda) state road in the direction of Olbia, along which, on the right, are the three main junctions. The first, in the locality of Lu Fraili, leads to the beaches of Punta d'Aldia, La Cinta-entrance on the north side (9.8 km) and Lu Impostu-entrance on the south side (8.7 km). The second junction, in the locality of Lutturai, leads towards the locality of Coda Cavallo. 𝗩𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗮𝗺𝗼 𝗹𝗲 𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗮𝗴𝗴𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗱𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗹𝗶𝗼: 𝗖𝗮𝗹𝗮 𝗚𝗶𝗿𝗴𝗼𝗹𝘂 (Ghjlgolu): It rises on an arc of land protected by promontories in a stretch of coastline where creeks and granite rocks abound. It can be reached from the Montepitrosu faction. Once at the car park, leave your vehicle and walk for 2-3 minutes to the beginning of the cottages. Cross the cordon marking the private driveway and on the right from the 3rd path onwards choose the cove and go down to the sea. It is very likely that you will be alone. 𝙋𝙪𝙣𝙩𝙖 𝙈𝙤𝙡𝙖𝙧𝙖: Immersed in a picturesque landscape where tafonate rocks and Mediterranean scrub predominate, the small coves can be reached by following the signs from the hamlet of Montepitrosu. 𝗖𝗮𝗽𝗼 𝗖𝗼𝗱𝗮 𝗖𝗮𝘃𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗼: Sheltered from the sea winds, the beach offers the beautiful scenery of the islands in front, clear waters and fine sand, surrounded by the green Mediterranean maquis. 𝗟𝘂 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘀𝘁𝘂: A beach with white sand and a shallow, regular seabed ending in a pine forest (where you can take a break from the sun). It can be reached from the junction of Punt'Aldia or by following the signs for Cala Brandinchi. It is recommended on days with sirocco (southern part) or tramontana (northern part). 𝗟𝗮 𝗖𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗮: This is the best known and busiest beach in San Teodoro, with fine white sand, it is 3.5 km long and is ideal for bathing. Possible water sports: surfing, sailing and kite-surfing.
