Entire property for rent: The property 'Il Biribino' consists of a main house and other buildings located at the back, as well as agricultural outbuildings and barns, all surrounded by a fenced garden of approximately 4000sqm. Inside the complex there are 3 outdoor swimming pools, including a children's pool and a whirlpool. Inside there are 4 Jacuzzis, all of which have a temperature of 36° - If renting the entire property, there is no breakfast service, there is a concierge, who can provide cleaning services and assistance. Surroundings Other sports and leisure facilities : Horse riding At 2 minutes by car there is the Caldese equestrian centre with over thirty horses, from ponies to bardies, walking and English horses, are at the disposal of the school and used for various teaching activities. Various events throughout the year enliven the Centre: from national Endurance competitions to National Show Jumping competitions, and ending with parades and competitions with period carriages and recreational days for the disabled. The Centre also offers the possibility of evocative horseback rides, also for beginners, through the woods and hills of the Upper Tiber Valley, discovering suggestive places in total safety. Golf Just 2 minutes away is the Caldese Golf Club, founded in March 1999 by Giuseppe Ponti and a small group of friends who are passionate about this discipline. It stretches downhill from the farmhouse, surrounded by bushes and oak woods. The course, which has 9 holes of high technical difficulty, is pleasant to play on due to the variety of the courses, the evocative landscape, the great quantity and richness of the vegetation that surrounds it, and the mild climate that allows it to be used during all months of the year. The lighting of the three holes surrounding the pond allows golf to be played even during the pleasant summer evenings. Trekking The Tiber river path passes very close to the Biribino farmhouse and winds along a twenty-kilometre route starting from the bridge over the Tiber at Città di Castello, where the nautical headquarters of the Città di Castello Canoe Club is located and where it is possible to go downriver under the guidance of expert canoeists. The path along the river is quite accessible, suitable for all ages and does not present any particular difficulties; in various parts the route is shaded. From the starting point, a bridge over the Tiber, it is possible to catch a glimpse of the group of towers and bell towers of the old town centre and the ancient walls that mark its perimeter. Along the way, we pass the villages of Lerchi, Piosina, and Giove; once in Selci, near the sports field, a sign indicates another path leading along the 'Percorso di Plinio' (Pliny's Path), which ends in Pitigliano. Continuing along the river we reach the bridge over the Tiber near the village of Pistrino where the path ends; from here we continue along the provincial road to San Giustino from where it is possible to see the outline of the ancient Bufalini Castle. Heading in the direction of Celalba, one returns to Pitigliano, where the remains of Pliny the Younger's ancient villa are to be found; from here, one can either take the 'Pliny's Path' back along the Tiber or reach the village of Lama, and then continue along the 'piedmont' where one encounters Grumale and Badiali with their ancient parish churches. Arriving near the complex that houses the city hospital, from where there is a beautiful view of the city and the surrounding hills, we return, first along Via Angelini and then along Viale Bologni, to the city centre. Tennis Two synthetic tennis courts are located 30 metres from the Biribino house. Archery Come and try your hand at archery for free. Not far from the centre of the city of Tyrolean, at Piosina, 100 m from the Biribino farmhouse, you can try your hand at shooting your first arrows in complete safety, followed by qualified instructors. Archery is a sport for everyone so you are all invited. Description of the place : Villa Biribino is ideally located for travelling to various nearby places of art: Sansepolcro, Gubbio, Città di Castello, Monterchi, Anghiari, Arezzo, Montone; Florence and Siena are not particularly far away, just an hour and a half by car, as is Urbino. Places full of works of art, from museums to churches, to palaces; ranging from Romanesque to medieval to Renaissance. Each of these places has events galore, from exhibitions to festivals, patron saint's festivals, and markets (the antiques market in Arezzo, a wonderful city, is a particular highlight). Not to be missed: Piazza Grande, Arezzo, Madonna del Parto fresco, Monterchi, Palazzo Ducale, Gubbio. Città di Castello (2 km) If you are an art lover, we have no doubt in suggesting what to do in Città di Castello, as the town boasts two exceptional museums: the Museo Burri and the Pinacoteca. The works of the famous artist Alberto Burri can be found partly in Palazzo Albizzini, which houses 130 works such as Catrami, Moulds, Hunchbacks, Sacchi, Legni, Ferri, Combustioni, Cretti and Cellotex, and partly in the Ex Seccatoi del Tabacco. The exhibition space, opened in July 1990, houses 128 works created from 1970 to 1993, including painting cycles and monumental sculptures, also located on the lawn outside. Excursion destinations : Sansepolcro (15 km) Not to be missed: Piazza Torre di Berta with its monumental historical buildings. On the second Sunday in September, the Palio della Balestra takes place: a competition between archers from Gubbio and Sanseprlcro who wear costumes inspired by the paintings of Piero della Francesca. Romanesque cathedral dating back to the 11th century was remodelled several times. It houses great works: Madonna and Child with Saints, Crucifixion and on the altar, the 14th-century polyptych of the Resurrection. Church of St Francis with a Gothic portal (late 13th century). Inside we find a valuable high altar and the Dispute in the Temple of Passignano. The civic museum houses a rich picture gallery where one can admire the Madonna of Mercy and Resurrection by Piero della Francesca; San Giuliano fresco, two-sided professional banner by Luca Signorelli, Della Robbia terracotta with the Nativity. The basement houses the Treasure of the Cathedral and on the first floor the collection of Sinopias and Frescoes from neighbouring churches. Pero della Francesca House renowned Renaissance palace. Opposite the Church of San Francesco is Santa Maria delle Grazie. Inside is Raffellino's painting of the Madonna delle Grazie hill. Next to the cathedral is Palazzo delle Laudi, today the seat of the municipality. Near Piazza Torre di Berta are monumental palaces that characterise Via XX Settembre. Monterchi (10 km) The village is small, but pretty and is famous for Piero della Francesca's fresco 'The Madonna of Childbirth'. Many tourists come to see it from all over the world. Anghiari (18 Km) This is a small and very quiet Tuscan village full of charm. It can be explored in half a day by walking through its narrow streets that alternate up and down. Silent and very clean, it looks like a village straight out of a fairy tale. It undoubtedly deserves a stop, even a very short one. Don't miss: Palazzo Marzocco, Palazzo Pretorio. Montone (15 Km) To Visit: The imposing walls of medieval origins that surround the town, the Colleggiata Church with its beautiful bell tower, the remains of the Rocca di Braccio fortress and the medieval village characterised by narrow streets and pretty houses. Gubbio (35 Km) The best time to go would be May for the famous Corsa dei Ceri, or December to see the world's tallest Christmas tree, but September is also nice, as it is less crowded.
