Senj is an old Croatian seaside town rich in history and culture. It is famous for its medieval resistance to the Turks and Venice. A whole series of well-known artifacts, such as city walls, towers and the most famous Nehaj tower, originates from that time. Today's guest of the city has the opportunity to visit these historical monuments and museums located in these areas, especially in the Nehaj tower. Senj is located between the high, mythical mountain Velebit and the sea, and because of its location, it is extremely interesting as a tourist center. It is located on the sea, it is known for its ten beautiful, natural pebble beaches (Draga, Điga, Spasovac, Ujča, Voda, etc.), wonderful small coastal towns that seem to have remained in some past times (Lukovo, Klada, Starigrad), a wonderful natural monument, the submerged Zavratnica fjord. Senj is also the starting point for trips to two, very close to Senj, the beautiful mountain national park Plitvice Lakes and the Northern Velebit National Park, whose wild mountain peaks offer incredible views that take your breath away!
