Located in Pristava near Tuhelj, about 60 km away from Zagreb and Franjo Tuđman Airport and only 4 from spa center Terme Tuhelj, Vila Trnoružica offers a fabulous holiday experience in the greenery of Hrvatsko zagorje. The wooden building with harmonious garden has always captivated with its beauty. In time, it was abandoned and left to decay. The new owner, carried by the vision of restoring its old glow, names it Vila Trnoružica ("Villa Sleeping Beauty"). After 2 years, the renovated house shone with new light, while retaining its original shape. It provides comfort in accordance with all standards, but with a special antique charm. The ground floor is about 40 m² in size and comprises of the following rooms: a fully equipped kitchen, bathroom and living room with dining area, On the top floor there are 2 bedrooms with balconies and working space. The basement has a spacious dining area and a toilet. Guests fond of the fresh air shall enjoy stay on wooden balconies, porch and 2 terraces equipped with garden furniture, and for gastro-lovers there is a barbecue next to the stone well.The property has a solid wooden fence and is therefore suitable for children and dogs. Private parking lot accommodates 3 cars. The house offers the opportunity for an ideal vacation for lovers of historical heritage - here is an antique telephone, radio from our grandfathers' era of and a romantic bathroom, but free WIFI, air conditioning and LCD TV do remind you that you are not lost in time after all. In order to offer visitors a unique tourist content, the owner of "Vila Trnoružica" created an educational path and a lookout point in the park behind the house that covers an area of about 600 m2. The educational path is a kind of "open-air classroom" and with its design it unobtrusively blends in with the natural environment - wooden steps lead up a steep slope to the top of the park, and four educational boards give guests the opportunity to learn about details related to the reconstruction of the "Sleeping Beauty Villa" itself, as well as to flora and fauna and the cultural heritage of the Tuhelj region. At the highest point of the park that rests on a stone retaining wall, there is a lookout point with a gazebo and benches, from which there is a beautiful view of the protected landscape of the nearby Cesargradska Gora mountain - a cosy corner created to rest and relax in the greenery of Zagorje hills. Close to Vila Trnoružica are Terme Tuhelj (4 km), Zelenjak (5 km), Klanjec (7 km), Kumrovec (7 km) and Veliki Tabor (16 km). Located at the very source of thermal water and healing mud, Terme Tuhelj is the most popular spa center in continental Croatia. The baroque Mihanović castle is also part of the complex. Sights such as the Gallery and Studio of the Antun Augustinčić Gallery, the Franciscan monastery and church and the memorial cemetery give evidence of rich historical and cultural heritage of Klanjec. Cesargrad, a medieval fortress burned in the Peasant Revolt in 1573, is also worth visiting. In the protected area of nature, Zelenjak, rises a monument to the Croatian anthem. Here begins the 4.5 km long educational trail running through the valley of Sutla river and slopes of Cesarska gora. Kumrovec, where Josip Broz Tito was born, is famous for its unique open-air ethnology museum with preserved original village houses from the turn of the 19th to the 20th century. Veliki Tabor Castle is a medieval 0 category monument, with the existence of which the legend of Veronika Desinićka is associated.
