The house is situated in the characteristic fornillo quarter and a few minutes' walk from the beach of the same name. The big beach with the harbour is a quarter of an hour away from the house. ------- Mare. In positano there are two beaches. The so-called big beach and a smaller one, the Fornillo beach. The house is situated in the characteristic fornillo quarter, under whose vertical is the fornillo beach. From the house to fornillo beach is reached on foot by walking about two hundred metres and then taking the beautiful fornillo stairs. From home to fornillo beach it takes about fifteen minutes. From home to the big beach it takes about 20 minutes on foot, taking the famous 'scalinatella', which leads directly to the sea, or the road. To return home from the fornillo beach, in order to avoid climbing the fornillo stairs, you can take a short 5-minute walk along the beautiful old Saracen road that runs along the sea and leads to the big beach, or you can take a boat, which some bathing establishments on the fornillo beach include in the price of the sunbed and umbrella, and which also leads to the big beach. From the big beach you can return home by road, avoiding the stairs, or by taking the famous 'scalinatella'. In any case, below the house there is a stop for the small bus that runs uninterruptedly through the village and takes you to the pedestrian street from which you can reach the beach in just a few minutes. Bars and restaurants There are many restaurants and bars near the house. Immediately below the house, by taking a short flight of stairs, or the street, there is the characteristic restaurant 'il saraceno d'oro' (traditional cuisine at fairly modest prices), the beautiful and modern restaurant 'next to', run by a nice lady from Positano, which is located in an eighteenth-century house and has a nice patio where you can eat. It is a modern restaurant but offers strictly local dishes but a bit revisited (a bit more expensive). Next is the 'mediterraneo' restaurant (traditional cuisine at fairly modest prices) and a little further down is the famous 'da vincenzo' trattoria. Below the house there is also the Fornillo restaurant that also makes excellent pizzas. For breakfast there is the bar ristornate gabrisa two hundred metres from the house where you can have breakfast with coffee and a croissant for a few euros, with a beautiful view of the sea. Excursions and surroundings of Positano. Behind positano there is a beautiful mountain on which you can take a beautiful walk called "the path of the gods". From the big beach you can easily take a day trip to capri (half an hour by boat). by car or bus you can reach amalfi, ravello, sorrento and pompei in about half an hour. the nearest airport is naples Capodichino. In an hour from the airport you are in positano. If you wish, positano taxi drivers come and pick people up at the airport and take them to positano.
