Description
À l'intérieur
The five-storey tower house with adjoining warehouse (Susta) was built over 600 years ago as a resting place and goods handling centre for muleteers and pack animals. The Susta stands prominently in the historic village centre and was used by the Sustmeister (‘Teiler’ - administrator of the muleteers' community) as a residential and commercial building. Around 500 years ago, it was extended with a wooden hall extension (Strickbau) on a stone base. The building was destroyed by a village fire in August 1716, but was rebuilt in 1718. The complete renovation in 2009-2010 returned the Susta to its historical structure. Non-smoking flat. Pets on request. Services included in the stated price: - bed linen, final cleaning, towelling/kitchen towels - guest tax Further information: - Free public car park at the Splügen Dorf bus stop (approx. 10 minutes' walk from the house)
