In the immediate vicinity of the beach you will find the unique outdoor dyke moor "Schwimmendes Moor" in the "Wadden Sea World Heritage Site" with a 150 metre long bohlweg for sightseeing. In the summer months, you can visit the national park adventure centre and enjoy a meal at the local restaurant. There is also a 4.5 km long salt marsh trail. There are excellent farm shops with fresh local produce and a milk filling station nearby.
