Countless romantic hiking trails with rock labyrinths, water sources (e.g. Egerquelle) can be found here. If you want to get away from it all and are looking for peace, relaxation and wellness, then you've come to the right place. We offer a holiday flat with 2 bedrooms. 1 bedroom for 2 adults in a double bed (180x200cm). 2nd bedroom with a single bed (90x200cm). Further sleeping possibilities on request. This holiday flat is on the 1st floor with cosy sloping ceilings. Furthermore we can offer a new leather couch in the living room.minimum stay from high season: April-October 7 nightsNovember to March 4 nights minimum stay Whether you want to have breakfast on the balcony to the east side, or rather on the covered loggia (south-west), that is your decision. Since there is no terrace available in this holiday flat, you can use our 1200 square metre garden. 2 beautiful wooden deckchairs are available. Furthermore, a barbecue can be provided on request. A playground for children is about 100 metres away and 2 mountain bikes can be rented. Not only the spa park in Bad Steben, but also various nature trails through the nature of the Franconian Forest or Fichtelgebirge, our beautiful Höllental invites you to go for a walk and hike. In the town of Hof you can visit the Theresienstein park with its botanical and zoological gardens. You can take beautiful walks around the Untreusee Hof. The beautiful playground with maze and climbing forest is worthwhile for children - the city of Bayreuth is 34 km from the accommodation and Hof is 17 km away. Our guests are very pleased about the central location, whether Plauen, Nuremberg, or Bamberg can be reached in a short time. Particularly interesting are the cities: -The festival city of Bayreuth with its many sights: e.g. the "New Castle with Museum"-Old Castle with Hermitage-Richard Wagner Museum-Tierpark Rohrensee-City of Plauen ...The following excursion destinations are particularly recommended:-Pottenstein with its Devil's Cave, the rock pool and Pottenstein Castle-Pure nature at Lake Fichtelsee-In the village of Fichtelberg you will find an automobile museum worth seeing-You can combine this excursion with a hike to the Ochsenkopf (1024m) or the Schneeberg (1053m). (The Ochsenkopf is also ideal for skiing)-The Ochsenkopf is also very interesting for children, as there is a lovely summer toboggan run. If you have difficulty walking, you can of course take the gondola to the top.-The next wonderful hiking excursion in the Fichtelgebirge would be the Luisenburg with the neighbouring rock labyrinth in Wunsiedel.-In the Fichtelgebirge you will also find a large number of springs, such as the Egerquelle near Bischoffsgrün (on the northern slope of the Schneeberg). The Weißmainquelle - on the north-eastern slope of the Ochsenkopf, the Fichtelnaabquelle - at the south-eastern foot of the Ochsenkopf are worth a hike. There are bus connections to Hof, Helmbrechts and Selbitz - Naila.Schauenstein Castle is inextricably linked with the history of the town of Schauenstein. Initially the seat of the bailiff, Schauenstein Castle became private property in 1716. In 1933, Schauenstein Castle became the property of the town following a donation. In the meantime, it also houses the municipal museum of local history and the Upper Franconian fire brigade museum. The registry office of the town of Schauenstein is also located in the romantic tower room of Schauenstein Castle, which was reopened to the public in 2015 following a three-year renovation programme.
