Relax in the dreamlike chalet flat in the Bavarian Forest on the first floor of our beautiful old farmhouse in the middle of the forest. Even the approach via the forest path reflects the atmosphere of the Finkenried wasteland with its secluded location above a forest meadow. The large balcony invites you to watch the sunrise over the Weißenstein castle ruins or the game coming out of the meadow. An ideal chalet flat for families and groups of up to 10 people. Spacious bedrooms and three bathrooms offer enough space for 10 people. The ultra-modern kitchen in the chalet is equipped with a ceramic hob, Nespresso machine, fridge/freezer, dishwasher incl. washing-up liquid, toaster, kettle and plenty of cutlery and cookware. Tea towels, hand dishwashing accessories and kitchen roll are also provided. For the breakfast basket, menages for salt, pepper, balsamic vinegar and olive oil are available on arrival. Organic bags and residual waste bags are available for waste separation. Glass, tin and paper can be disposed of in our waste separation system in the courtyard. For cleaning enthusiasts, a hoover is available in addition to a broom. The tiled stove in the living room creates a cosy, rural atmosphere. In front of the house there is a spacious terrace with a fireplace and barbecue area. Relax in the panoramic sauna and the heated outdoor whirlpool in the sauna house right next door. Ski areas in the immediate vicinity: The two ski areas Rusel (with Haussteinlift) and Geißkopf (Geißkopfbahn, Parallellift, Nordhanglift, Riegellift, Forsthauslift and Babylift) are each 10 to 15 minutes away and are operated by the Geißkopfbahn. The main advantage for skiers is the introduction of electronic reading systems, so that in future one lift ticket will be valid for both ski areas. The Geißkopf ski area (1100 m) with 6 lifts and 8 runs of varying difficulty has 4 ski and snowboard schools on site. A fun park completes the offer. The Forsthaus downhill run, Geißkopf men's downhill run and Nordhang downhill run are covered with artificial snow. A floodlight system on the 1150 metre-long main run allows skiing on the Geißkopf on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays until 9.30 pm. Floodlight skiing is also possible on the Rusel on the same days. Golf courses: 10 minutes away is the 18-hole course of the Deggendorf Golf Club on the plateau of the Rusel Pass at an altitude of 840 metres. A driving range and a 3-hole practice course are available. In the season from April to November, you can enjoy the beautiful scenery from the terrace of the clubhouse after your game. The Oberzwieselau golf course is located in a hilly park landscape about 20 kilometres away. The clubhouse with its terrace forms the centre of an 18-hole championship course harmoniously embedded in the landscape. Bavarian Forest National Park: The Bavarian Forest National Park is only 25 kilometres away. It was opened in 1970 as the first national park in Germany and protects a unique forest and low mountain range landscape on the border with the Czech Republic. Expanded in 1997, the national park now covers an area of over 24,000 hectares. Almost the entire area of the national park is covered by extensive forests, which today are uniquely left to develop largely uninfluenced by man. The action of natural environmental forces and the undisturbed dynamics of the biotic communities are guaranteed. In the national park you can experience unspoilt nature in an impressive way.
