There are nature trails and paths to explore, and you can even hike all the way into Strömstad via these routes. Be sure to visit the Blomsholm Ship Alignment, which consists of 49 stones; the stones at the bow and stern are 4 meters high, making it one of Sweden’s largest ship alignments. Thanks to the cottage’s location near both the city and the sea, you can quickly and easily head into Strömstad to experience the city’s vibe, stroll along the piers, or simply sit back and relax on a bench in one of the city’s parks or at one of the many beautiful swimming spots in the area. The cottage is also a perfect starting point for exploring all of Northern Bohuslän and southern Norway. You can park right next to the cottage’s entrance; once inside, you’ll be greeted by a large, welcoming open-concept living room and kitchen. The kitchen area features a stove, fridge/freezer, microwave, coffee maker, and dishwasher; next to the kitchen is a dining table, and in the other part of the living area, you’ll find a TV corner with a comfortable sofa and a single bed. There’s a bathroom with a shower and a washing machine, a bedroom with a comfortable double bed, and a sleeping alcove with a single bed. The patio is furnished with outdoor furniture and lounge chairs, and on the other side of the cottage, you’ll find a large, pleasant barbecue area—all so you can enjoy delicious meals, the peace and quiet, and the surrounding nature. The cottage features both underfloor heating and fiber-optic internet. Strömstad offers a wide variety of activities, a vibrant restaurant scene, and pleasant shopping in small stores located close to one another—or why not just sit back and enjoy the view of all the boats in the harbor area? If you’d like to explore the islands and the archipelago, there are several boat charters and sightseeing boat tours departing from the harbor in the city center to various archipelago islands, such as Furholmen or the Koster Islands, as well as to neighboring Norway. You can also rent a boat or kayak for your own adventures. For golf enthusiasts, there are several excellent 18-hole courses in the area.
