325 km to the north from Rovaniemi, 19 km to the north from Hetta (municipality center of Enontekiö), located in Leppäjärvi village, distance to the Leppäjärvi shore is 150 m across the terrain, no own beach, no boat, larger lake Lijankijärvi behind the Lijankivaara hill, distance 2,2 km, ATV trail lead to the lake. This is a nice base for trips to the wilderness of the northern parts of Enontekiö or Norway. The nearest point of the Tarvantovaara Wilderness Area is about 5 km away, Pöyrjärvi Wilderness Area in Näkkälä, distance is about 20 km. There is a popular mountain biking trail from Näkkälä to the Pöyrisjärvi. Hunting: Small game hunting permits in state-owned lands, large hunting destinations 1614 Hetta-Karesuvanto and 1615 Näkkälä (www.eraluvat.fi). Fishing: Fishing in lakes is usually permitted with the fisheries management fee. One fishing rod can be used.
