Weichs Castle (16th century) by Maximilian I of Bavaria lies on the Danube diagonally opposite the old town centre. The tower and moat are private. Dogs are not allowed in the castle gardens. Smokers' lounge with garden chairs and tables are available exclusively for guests. The Danube meadows are just around the corner (50 metres). Cycle path to the old town, footpath to the old town in ten minutes along the Danube. Over 20 city bus lines every minute to the old town and main station (our stop: "Weichs-Donaueinkaufszentrum") Banks/shopping/baker/butcher/deka/post office/doctors/petrol station within 100m. (best infrastructure) Luxurious for 2 guests with lots of space, ideal for 3 guests with two bedrooms, * Parents with/up to 2 children up to 17 years are not bookable cheaper via the platform (technical problem). Book for 2 adults only. The surcharge per child is not 35,-- Euro but 20,- Euro/night per child with its own bedroom. Rather a taxi (cheaper than a parking ticket - and you won't get one just once! our guests find: After coming back from the noisy and crowded but beautiful old town of Regensburg - over the Danube bridge - (you can see the castle tower from afar) you suddenly feel: This narrowness of the shady alleys is over, you breathe fresh air again (without the smell of bratwurst, smog, ectra.). you can recover from the noise of the party city (until 4.00am), the building sites and the honking traffic as well as the noise of the drunks! A socio-political problem! You have a view again - not just 10 metres to the next house front - you can walk, children can run around safely in the Danube meadows, dogs can run off the lead again! That's why our Weichs neighbourhood is also one of the most expensive in terms of property prices. Close to the old town, the best amenities, quiet and safe! For party people who don't mind falling asleep late after midnight, even with the windows closed, a flat in the old town is recommended.
