Charcoal and open fires as well as fireworks are not permitted due to the fire hazard of the thatched roofs! Max. 2 dogs are welcome. This part of the Baltic Sea is located on the well-known Kühlung with the large rapeseed fields. An area which is characterised by its elevated position above the Baltic Sea and a pleasant breeze. Rerik itself is centred between the Hanseatic cities of Rostock and Wismar (World Heritage Site). The fashionable Baltic seaside resorts of Kühlungsborn and Heiligendam (the white town on the Baltic Sea) can also be visited on a beautiful cycle tour (in combination with a ride on the narrow-gauge railway "Molli").
