Day trips to the Baltic seaside resorts on the island or to Stralsund on the mainland are just 20 minutes away by car. Groß Schoritz is not only accessible via the Rügen Bridge - if you want to avoid the traffic jams, you can take the Glewitz ferry, which is just a stone's throw away.
