The holiday home - an oasis of well-being Situated in the middle of the vineyards, surrounded by trees, bushes and meadows, our new holiday home welcomes you with its Mediterranean charm. A cottage with a core of stone and clay, newly clad inside and out with natural spruce wood. You can drive right up to the front of the holiday home with a normal, not lowered car. If it rains and the slightly uphill access road is temporarily not so easy to drive on, we are of course happy to help with the transport of luggage and shopping at any time by arrangement. If you like walking, you can walk the 400 metres from the road down in the valley, where you can also park, to the house in about 10 minutes. Children and dogs will experience a paradise with all possible freedom and lots of beautiful nature. On the approx. 3,000 square metre property you can play, romp, barbecue ... to your heart's content. A campfire is also permitted in the stone-built circle, and there are lovely seating areas on the property and a large wooden terrace behind the house for all weathers and all purposes, whether for breakfast, cosy get-togethers or just reading. The living room/bedroom on the ground floor invites you to relax with two large wooden windows and a view of the natural surroundings. The cosy corner bench and the old wooden table in the bay window offer relaxation for the soul, perhaps with a glass of our own organic wine straight from the oak barrel or a glass of liqueur or first spirit, all from our own organic cultivation. The fully wood-panelled attic studio is accessed from the living room via a wooden staircase. There is a cosy "mattress dormitory", just the way teenagers and children love it. For sleeping, there are two sofa beds with comfortable cushions and two additional mattresses. There is enough space for a large family with up to four children or four adults with two children to enjoy a wonderful holiday. On cooler evenings in spring and autumn, the old wood-burning stove with prepared firewood can provide cosy warmth. Our own vineyard with our vineyard hut is only about 200 metres away. There you can enjoy a wonderful panoramic view over the village of Döbrököz and a marvellous sunset in the evening. Our guests can of course use the terrace in front of the vineyard hut, the swing and the neighbouring orchard surrounded by vines at any time. There are good riding and fishing opportunities in the immediate vicinity, as well as excellent restaurants serving Hungarian cuisine at very reasonable prices. Dogs are welcome everywhere, even in the house. Dog lovers will find a dog training area with exercise equipment just one kilometre away, and shopping facilities are just one kilometre away. Young and old alike can cool off on hot days and relax in the cold season at the Gunaras spa and wellness baths, which are just 5 kilometres away. A 55 °C spring provides mineral-rich healing water that is ideal for treating a variety of ailments. The large wellness area with thermal pools heated up to 38 °C, various saunas, whirlpool, solariums and many other facilities ensure health and well-being. On hot summer days, the nearby Lake Orfü (approx. 30 km) offers everything your heart desires, and dogs are allowed almost everywhere. This includes bathing beaches, jetties and fishing facilities. Water sports such as sailing and windsurfing can also be practised there. You can experience culture in numerous museums and observation towers. The newly built medieval theme park in Bikál is also about 20 kilometres away and regularly hosts cultural events such as musicals and concerts. Pécs is worth a day trip after about 45 kilometres, as is the flower town of Kaposvár, about 40 kilometres away. The capital Budapest is about 120 kilometres away, Lake Balaton only about 65 kilometres. The house is something for individualists who are looking for peace and seclusion to recover from everyday stress. The house will be ready for occupancy in a few weeks.
