The Erzgebirge-Vogtland ridge path, the 14-8,000-meter tour, the European long-distance hiking trail Eisenach-Budapest and numerous regional hiking and theme trails all run here. In winter, ski fans can experience the beautiful low mountain landscape on 40 kilometers of groomed cross-country ski trails. There is a toboggan lift and a fun park is available for snowboarders. Downhill skiers can reach various slopes for every requirement using two drag lifts. But there are also excursions to the surrounding area: Frauenstein Castle (12 km), Flaje Dam in the Czech Republic (12 km), Seiffen with its toy museum (17 km), Altenberg winter sports center and summer toboggan run (21 km), Freiberg Cathedral (29 km), German Watch Museum Glashütte (36 km).
