Tradition meets modernity in this exceptional holiday home – This historic house, dating back to 1880, was completely renovated in 2019, equipped with a high-quality kitchen in 2022, and furnished with meticulous attention to detail. Since summer 2016, the doors of this former captain's house have been open to holidaymakers from near and far.
This detached holiday home is situated directly on the promenade, between the idyllic town of Carolinensiel and the North Sea beach of Harlesiel.
The light-filled house spans three floors and offers over 90 square meters of living space, comfortably accommodating four people. The Captain's House at the Friedrichsschleuse lock is the perfect holiday retreat for guests seeking something truly special.
From the inviting entrance area, you enter the spacious living and dining room with a direct view of the Harle River and its historic drawbridge. The living area features real wood parquet flooring, a comfortable sofa with a flat-screen TV, white country-style furniture, a dining area for four, and a freestanding fireplace.
On the ground floor, you'll find a modern, fully equipped kitchen with direct access to the 25m² terrace. Whether you prefer sun loungers, a seating area with a parasol, or a beach chair – everything you could wish for is here!
Both the ground floor and the basement feature state-of-the-art spa bathrooms with high-quality fixtures: walk-in rain showers, heated towel rails and underfloor heating, as well as an infrared sauna for soothing warmth after a day at the beach.
The well-insulated upper floor comprises two spacious bedrooms and a separate WC. The master bedroom, with real wood parquet flooring and a view of the Harle River, features a comfortable double bed, a cot, and ample storage space. The second bedroom offers twin beds.
In the basement, with a separate entrance, you'll also find a washing machine and a tumble dryer. The house includes a private parking space. A second parking space is available upon request.
