Description
In the cozy village of Viehhofen, just before the famous Saalbach Hinterglemm, this beautiful chalet, completely renovated in 2016, is located on a sunny slope. This attractive and spacious holiday home is situated in the annex of this Chalet (left), so there is plenty of privacy. It has 2 bedrooms which can accommodate 7 people. It is perfect for big families and groups.
Due to its location just above the village, you can enjoy plenty of privacy and the view is fantastic. The location is optimal for winter and summer holidays. The ski bus stop is located right at the bottom of the (slightly sloping) access road, which takes you to the beautiful Saalbach Hinterglemm ski area in a few minutes. In the summer there are plenty of recreational opportunities such as mountain biking, hiking or highly recommended: wonderful rafting. The Zell am See lake is nearby and provides wonderful cooling on very hot days. A lift will go directly from Viehhofen to the ski area of Zell am See. As a result, Viehhofen is connected to the Zell am See ski area by a lift on the one hand, and connected to Saalbach-Hinterglemm on the other hand via a descent from the ski area (the lifts of the Saalbach Hinterglemm ski area are easily reached with the free ski bus). Ski buses are expected to go to both ski areas.
The luxuriously furnished living room can be used both as a living room and as a bedroom. A sliding wall can close off the whole and an ingenious system allows the sofa to be converted into 3 comfortable sleeping places. Your holiday home is on the ground floor, but due to its location on a slope you reach the entrance via a staircase. The open kitchen has a separate dining area and is equipped with all modern appliances, you also have 2 bedrooms, a bathroom and a spacious terrace from which you have a beautiful view of the surrounding mountains.

Unfortunately, the road was renewed on arrival and the way to the apartment was not easy to find at first. The accommodation is really great. The apartment is very well located and you can explore a lot in the immediate vicinity.
The manager of the apartment greeted us very nicely. She is very friendly and straightforward. The accommodation is advertised for 4-6 people. With 4 people the accommodation is good, with six it would have been too cramped for me. On the first impression the accommodation was very clean, but here and there it was not cleaned. Hence a smiley print. The location is really great. You can have breakfast on the terrace and have a view of the mountains. A stream flows right next to the garden. Pure nature! A bedroom smells a little musty. However, we couldn't find any cause. Overall, we felt very comfortable in the accommodation. Definitely recommendable!
After searching for a while, and having entered a rather bumpy road, we found the house. Through the key safe we could quickly access the great and fully equipped house. The location is perfect and the sun all day on the spacious terrace. The house was clean and equipped with modern equipment. Only downsides were the poor ventilation in the bathroom and the shower door that was not hanging properly. This could be better. From the house you can walk in the immediate area. We have a great time.
The cottage was fantastic. Quiet location with a beautiful view of the mountains. Comfortably furnished and everything you need is available. Good beds and even a washing machine and dryer. You receive a card that allows you to travel by bus for free. The bus stop is at the door. We have hardly used the car. Made by bus to the cable cars and many beautiful walks. You can eat well at the Schmiede in the village. We also like to eat at Almhutten in the mountains while hiking such as the Hecherhutte. Overall a fantastic holiday.
The accommodation was pleasant and comfortable. Nice beds. You also have a nice view from the terrace. Keep in mind a gravel road to the house. At the time we were there it was pretty worn out. There is a lot to see and do in the immediate area, you won't get bored! Beautiful walks can be made from the cottage.
After a long journey from England, it was lovely to arrive to a clean and tidy apartment, with views to die for. And very private. The room above is actually a garage, so you are in a detached apartment. We were a party of 5, myself and my husband, my 21 yr old son and my 24 year old son and his girlfriend. Plenty of room for all us. There as lots to do in the area. We did lots of downhill mountain biking, white water rafting, canyoning, a gorge and cave, and a memory trip to Krimml waterfalls. Fab holiday, fab area, fab apartment.
