Popular excursion destinations include the Zella-Mehlis Aquarium, the Vehicle Museum in Suhl, Oberhof with its Rennsteig Garden and winter sports facilities, the Toy Museum in Sonneberg, as well as Coburg, Meiningen and Ilmenau. Within about an hour’s drive, you can reach Erfurt, Weimar, Eisenach, Bamberg or Bad Kissingen
