Au pied du château de Bouillon

The house itself is beautiful and located in a stunning spot, but it is in need of renovation. The gas stove has a dangerous burner, the extractor hood (very dirty) needs to be turned on in a special way, just like the dishwasher. We kept the shower head in place with a ty-rip and the drain in the garage is leaking, fortunately directly into a drain. Several faucets need to be replaced, as does the gate on the balcony. The dryer looks dangerous and is unusable. When we arrived at the house, we first had to air it out because it smelled musty! It seemed like it hadn't been used in a long time, the Christmas decorations were still there.

The house is quite pleasant in itself. Located in a top location! Surrounded by beautiful nature. A big plus is the terrace. But when it comes to hygiene, it is very poor. The kitchen is very dirty. The refrigerator and other appliances definitely need replacing! The bathrooms are not pleasant for showering. The house is seriously outdated. For the price, the quality should be much better.

We could enter the house 2 hours earlier. It was clean, they said. But clean in Belgium is perhaps different than we are used to. Tomato soup splatters on kitchen cabinets, hair, everything very sticky and a lot of spiders and webs. Contacted the owner who said that was because you could enter earlier and so the cleaning lady had to hurry. We think that was a real flop....it was dirty from months. Furthermore, a lot of rickety or broken. Dryer, dishwasher, vacuum cleaner, shower.... A lot of money for this house. The only really super nice thing was the view.

The holiday home has a beautiful view of the city, the castle and nature. The house is spacious, but has many defects. The house is ideally located, with a beautiful view of Bouillon, the castle and the Semois. The interior of the house is not in proportion to the intrinsic class of this house, where authentic elements such as marble entrance hall and stairs, fishing grade parquet are alternated with cheap laminate and IKEA cupboards. The design of the kitchen and bathroom is substandard and in urgent need of renewal. If one takes the extra costs (cleaning, taxes, utilities) into consideration, then the price-quality ratio is not good.

We were in Bouillon 1 midweek with two families. It is fantastic place to be. Many nature and historical places to visit are nearby. Nice restaurant and friendly inhabitants. Villa was in good location and it was big size but it was not nit and tidy as we were expecting specially yard and town part.

Had a nice holiday in this beautiful house view is adembenemend.Omgeving is beautiful and there is plenty to do in the area.

4 days Bouiilon and environment

A location sought to walk in nature and to visit charming villages. Luckily we found a place to stay in "Au Pied du Chateau de Bouillon." Cozy cottage with comfort meet for two families with children.

Top location for all kinds of trips (either by car or on foot)

Wonderful holiday .. We had nice weather all day and of course it also helps to have a positive assessment. There were only four people, and then the house is very spacious. we had a good holiday in Bouillon, the view was very special, castle, river and city. From the house we have made during the day and beautiful walks in the evening. We enjoyed the garden. The house was not clean on arrival and ordinary everyday things like bread knife and kettle were missing.

A very physical residence with ample accommodation for a group of youngsters + 25J. We enjoyed our stay in this cottage. Very nice location, comfortable kitchen, large garden, nice pool or in the jacuzzi ... We do not have bored us. The only downside is that after 21h in Bouillion very little to do was. Most of the nightlife in the city are bankrupt or closed due to too much inconvenience.
