Barebones Glamping
Unique Coastal Glamping for Families.
Description
Experience a perfect getaway at Barebones Glamping, where a charming cabin comfortably sleeps up to four guests, plus one child under 12. Inspired by traditional clinker boats used by coastal communities like Northumberland’s Lindisfarne Island, this unique glamping accommodation combines nautical design with modern comforts, creating a cozy all-season living space. The private front decking and side gravelled area offer uninterrupted views over the lake towards Bristol Lodge, the historic home of author Catherine Cookson, providing a stunning backdrop for relaxation.
Inside, the cabin features a well-equipped kitchenette with a sink, kettle, toaster, fridge with small ice box, double ceramic hob, and electric oven with grill—perfect for preparing meals during your stay. The sleeping area includes a comfortable king-sized bed that can be curtained off from the living space, which has a king-sized sofa bed. A drop leaf table with folding chairs provides a convenient dining area. The cabin is heated by an electric heater, and entertainment is available via a 28” smart TV with DVD player and WiFi, ensuring comfort and connectivity during your visit.
Guests can enjoy the scenic surroundings with provided bird spotting and stargazing guides, along with OS explorer maps for exploring local wildlife, walking trails, and starry skies. The site also features a nautical-themed children’s play area, including a cargo net, slide, small boat, and raised platform, ideal for imaginative pirate adventures. Please note, pets are not permitted in Barebones Glamping; for pet-friendly options, consider other cabins on site. Immerse yourself in a tranquil, waterfront retreat surrounded by nature, wildlife, and charming coastal views.
