Mansion in Beaucaire with Private Pool
Description
This charming mansion with private swimming pool is located in a pleasantly quiet area in Beaucaire. Magnificently renovated, the house still retains many vestiges of its authentic character. Rated 3-star from Gîtes de France, a rural tourism organization in the Gard region, this is definitely worth a visit!
The L-shaped living and dining room with fireplace (only used in winter) has a warm atmosphere thanks to the stone walls and exposed beam ceilings. The additional loft gives the space the feeling of being bigger than it is.
The ground floor has two bedrooms with bathroom. In the hall, there are separate toilets. From the entrance hall, a staircase leads to a large open room without air conditioning but with a ceiling fan which can be used as a bedroom for any (older) children.
Outside, a covered terrace with an adjoining the fireplace will allow you to enjoy a good meal together. A superb set of teak garden furniture and umbrella await you on the second sunny terrace. The swimming pool, surrounded by lounge chairs, can be seen below. In the flower-filled garden, fir trees have been planted everywhere to provide shade and create a relaxing atmosphere.
Several famous towns worth visiting, such as Nîmes, Arles, Avignon and Uzès, are within a 30-minute drive. The magnificent Camargue nature reserve with its famous pink flamingos is only 45 km away. An hour's drive is all you need to reach the Mediterranean.

We had a pleasant stay with the family. The house met the needs of a quiet holiday. Some small details would need to be reviewed, such as the missing shower next to the swimming pool, the remote control for the door which does not work correctly. Otherwise we were happy with the house itself. Without forgetting of course the kindness of the owner.
Beautiful house and nicely decorated. More than enough kitchen utensils in the kitchen. Outside area is very private (closed by an electric gate). There are nice sun loungers by the pool. Our advice: in the summer months (August) when the temperature rises considerably, do not book with more than 4 people because only air conditioning in the 2 bedrooms on the ground floor. 2 of our four children slept on the mattresses from above in the living room, which was actually far too warm. The temperature rose to well above 40 degrees, too hot and very stuffy. (Bought a decent fan myself, but unfortunately did not help enough). Furthermore, it says in the description that there is a bunk bed in the second bedroom. That is not correct, ground floor 2 bedrooms each with a double bed, on the floor two single beds.Least but not last: the owner is absolutely very friendly and helpful. She also admitted that the house is not suitable for more than 4 people in our period because of the heat. Desondanks had a great holiday!
Very authentic villa with a nice clean pool. All facilities are present. Due to the intense heat, it was a pity that there is no air conditioning in the 3rd room (upstairs). Both rooms downstairs are equipped with air conditioning, so in total for 4 people.
Lovely house, fully equipped. Spacious garden with a nice swimming pool to find the necessary cooling. Complete rest to "disappear" in a beautiful book. Enough in the area to discover/visit.

A beautiful house, fully equipped, large supermarket around the corner (by car) and excellent location on the edge of the town of Beaucaire. Very friendly reception.
