Comfortable and cosy – far away from hustle and bustle but still in the midst of things – the Maisäß Maischwitz. It is right next to the Matschwitz mountain guesthouse at an altitude of 1500 metres. In winter it is right by the ski piste and in summer it is an ideal starting point for walks in the Rätikon area. Get to know a new and indescribably beautiful facet of nature. You will be staying in a wonderful alpine landscape, surrounded by alpine cattle, wonderfully fragrant mountain meadows and a unique panorama of the Montafon mountain world. The maximum occupancy is five people. As rustic and authentic as it was, our Maisäß was newly built in the old style, preserving the cosiness and pleasant atmosphere. The house offers a double bedroom and a twin bedroom, a cosy lounge with a radio and TV, a cooking niche, a shower and a separate WC. Bed linen and towels, a hairdryer, a filter coffee machine, cleaning products are all available. Arrival: Haus Matschwitz can only be accessed in summer along a steep mountain road (only possible with a 4WD), or by the eight-seater cable car Golmerbahn. In May and November, it might not be possible to drive to Maisäß, depending on the snow. In winter it can only be accessed with the cable car and you are bound to its schedule. During the winter season you can park free of charge by the cable car station in Vandans or Latschau. Our house is right by the Matschwitz middle station, easily visible. We can also offer breakfast and/or dinner at Haus Matschwitz, or alternatively you can self-cater.
