The communication with the caretakers was very easy and quick, so no problems whatsoever. We arrived later than normal arrival hours so I had communicated it with them and as explained found the description and keys on the door, and a message to check if all was well, altogether very friendly and helpful.
Assisi in Umbria is a place not to be missed. From the apartment we had lovely views over the valley, olive groves and vineyards in Assisi. Also a good opportunity to explore the places nearby. If it had not been so hot we'd walked a lot the Franciscuspad. The ever-present Italian managers cared twice a tasty evening meal with local products (truffle!). If you want to put them also breakfast ready. We had an interesting week and then further extended Umbria.
Everything was superb! Can completely relax here. To be repeated!
If you like peace you've come to the right place! "At night you only hear crickets and birds and it is also completely silent. From the house you are in the center within 10 minutes.. Also overlooking Assisi, what more could you want!
The furnishings are simple and the kitchen is almost unusable. The cooking facilities consist of two rusty hotplates that constantly crackle when heated due to their age. These are so close together that you can only place one pot. Contrary to the description, there is no oven. The refrigerator is also very old, the freezer compartment was a single lump of ice. Our dinner left in the fridge was soggy. Most of the dishes, glasses and cutlery were very dirty, the few pots were very old and dented and the toaster was caked with dirt. There are only three different coffee cups. The television didn't work and, contrary to your description, there is no stereo system. The detergent container was empty and the dishwashing sponge was old and tattered. After our complaint the next day, the dishes were partially cleaned and the television was repaired, although contrary to the description only Italian channels could be received. During a brief period of heavy rain (lucky that we were home), so much water seeped into the living room under the front door that we had to lay out several towels to prevent the water from running into the bedroom. The entrance door is not a real apartment door, but just a patio door. For all the inconvenience we had to endure, we didn't receive the slightest attention from the landlord.
