Warmly received by the owners Ellen and Hans, who were waiting for us. Two days earlier they had already informed about our arrival time. Although the arrival is between certain times, they are very flexible, as long as they are aware. The house is blissful. Very cool. Completely as described on the site. It looks better in reality than in the photos. Everything is very hygienic. Sheets, towels and kitchenware are provided. It has been nicely renovated and yet has retained its typical Portuguese style. It is a nice and clean swimming pool, well maintained by the host who is always busy with maintaining the grounds. He regularly empties the garbage bins of the guests. Furthermore, there is a pizza oven and barbecue on site that can be used by guests. Wood is available for the oven. All of this is in a beautiful garden, also beautifully maintained. There is a maximum of 20 people on the domain, which makes it very quiet. The domain is on a large lane, but that does not bother you at all. There are large fields full of cork trees all around. Nice to go for a walk. The area is not very touristy, so it is very quiet. There are some nice sights. You are an hour from other tourist cities such as Evora, Lisbon, ... Furthermore, Ellen knows a lot about things in the neighborhood and also a little further. They recommended a very nice and delicious restaurant: A Ribeira. We found it a pleasant and relaxing stay. Thanks Ellen and Hans
Prachtig zwembad in een mooie omgeving. Volledige inrichting van het appartement. Oubollige. inrichting. TV apparatuur nutteloos voor Nederlanders/Belgen.
We have had wonderful time with our family. The cottage was fine, with a beautiful garden and a lovely large pool, almost for ourselves! Ellen and Hans are very friendly and helpful and give good tips on what to do in the area. There are fun day trips to eg Evora and Setubal (recommended!). Hans Ellen also know how to recommend nice restaurants. It is wonderfully quiet, so a nice place to recover.
Quiet, clean accommodation, matching our expectations. The small (but sufficient) house with Portuguese charm. Environment conducive to rest as well as the discovery of Portuguese landscapes, ideal for family holidays.
Very friendly people. Nothing is too much trouble to make the sentence the guests. Excellent base for excursions in the area.
The outdoor complex garden, great pool to ourselves, chairs, fruit trees were very nice and relaxing image on website was not home, but the laundry and workroom, pictures of the apartments even from the inside were not available, and for good reason, because the interiors did not meet the expectations and standards - Beispiele- upon arrival we found in the cupboards dirty dishes (burnt leftovers) before the previous tenant - apartment not thoroughly cleaned - still a lot of dust on chairs, furniture, window sills, mirror in the bathroom mold on the tap, shower rod wrong, cobwebs in the corner in the bedroom sheets with holes, 1 bed sheet ripped mattresses including partially torn 1 bedside lamp with loose contact socket of wall torn \/ heraushängend- living \/ dining area hanging over dining table old tube TVs, drooping with dirty cables - did not work because antennas and power connections were torn out of the wall - generally flat can be easy, but should be clean, which was not the case here furniture old and dusty (and bed), flat inside was uncomfortable, the outside nice.
