We as a family basically felt at home.
We rented the house with two labradors and a boxer, according to the landlord no problem! The house is far too small for three big dogs. We left on the day of arrival.
Pleasant, clean, if simple. The bathroom is already being renovated and the rest of the house should follow. It was very comfortable and for families with children and / or dog an absolute dream location. You can reach all attractions in a very short time
We were warmly welcomed by the very friendly owner and informed extensively about the house, the environment and all important information. In addition, there was a lot of information about all sorts of activities in the house. The house is located in a very quiet location, on the edge of the small town, without any traffic and is used by the tenant alone. From there you have the opportunity to make long walks. There are also many excursions, especially recommended is the Harz narrow gauge railway. The house itself is well maintained and well furnished.
The arrival was fine, the direct contact was not there for a while, but had arranged a friend, no problem. The owner we have seen later and turned out to be a very friendly man. The cottage is really not big, but for 3 people it was sufficient, especially with nice summer weather. The location is nice, with 3 minutes you walk between the fields, or you sit in the Schmunzelstube, a combination of beer garden and snack bar where there is also opportunity for swimming, perfect after a day filled with walks in the Harz. Enough to see and do, it was also wonderfully quiet one week was too short, I would certainly have wanted to stay longer. Tip for the owner screens for the windows ...
