Trassenheide has a direct connection to the cycling and hiking network on the island of Usedom. The groyne-free sandy beach runs very shallowly into the sea, which is ideal for families with small children. Building castles, looking for amber and shells and splashing around in the shallow bank area will delight even the littlest ones.

The best way to explore the area around Trassenheide is on the well-developed network of cycling and hiking trails. The longest hiking trail on Usedom runs directly through Trassenheide. There are numerous sights to visit on the way from Peenemuende to the city of Usedom. To take a break, stop off at one of the inviting restaurants or cafes.
