This luxury wooden holiday home is a "low-energy house" and requires relatively little energy to heat.
The house has central heating, which is heated with solar energy and with wood when the sun is not shining. Guests light the wood-burning stove themselves with the wood provided free of charge. There is a backup power supply. The solar panels on the roof generate electricity and there is a backup by connecting to the electricity grid. Water comes from the mains water supply, but is used again for flushing the toilet. The house is equipped with A and A+ appliances and LED lighting. It was built with environmentally friendly wood and ecological building materials were used where possible. Thousands of trees and shrubs, including many fruit trees and berry bushes, have recently been planted in the grounds on which the house stands. Many vegetables, herbs and berries are also to be grown organically. A piece of land will also be kept free as an open meadow. In the future, a meadow surrounded by forest will be created. Functional and recreational purposes have been well combined here. The house is located in the centre of the "Medebacher Bucht" nature reserve in the Orketal valley. The region is also known as the "Tuscany of the Sauerland". Whether winter or summer, the area offers everything your heart desires: skiing, winter and summer toboggan runs, cross-country skiing, mountain biking, hiking, Centre Parcs with tropical pool, adventure, bobsleigh, climbing, bowling, high ropes course, horse riding, fishing and much more. Medebach has several supermarkets and restaurants and is located between the well-known towns of Winterberg and Willingen and, due to its special location at the foot of the Rothaargebirge mountains, has a unique local climate with significantly more sun and less rain than elsewhere in the Sauerland.
