In the evenings, the barbecue is fired up – and you should definitely try some delicious fresh fish from the Schaalsee fishery. Of course, you can also simply fish for your own fish. You're only 1,300 meters from the Schaalsee, where there is a boat rental and a beautiful lido for swimming and bathing.
In Zarrentin, you'll find various shops and restaurants, as well as a lakeside promenade and a lido. The former Cistercian monastery, of which the east wing is still preserved, is worth a visit.

A designated network of cycling and hiking trails, more than 180 kilometers long, leads you through pure and unspoiled nature. The Schaalsee Biosphere Reserve lies directly on the former inner-German border. A circular hike across the Strangen Peninsula and past the Kirchensee lake impressively demonstrates how formerly populated areas and border fortifications have been and are being reclaimed by nature. The just over 40-kilometer bike tour around the Schaalsee lake is also very beautiful.

Very good management of the object, cozy atmosphere and beautiful landscape,
Very nice Mrs. Geisler (key handover), gave us the possibility of a very individual key handover, also on departure, criticism: due to the lack of information possibilities in the place (tourist office/map material) absolutely dependent on WLAN, S, O : no blackout possibilities, actually very easy to fix !
The accommodation is very clean and very well equipped, the key handover on arrival and departure worked very well, the house manager was very friendly and helpful, we thank you for a great holiday and would love to come back,
The handover of the key was a bit bumpy, the telephone number given did not correspond to the telephone number of the person handing over, how we found it a little incomprehensible, the person handing over was quite damaging to business, when said about her
We found a very nice, newly built holiday home, the contact with the landlady and the manager Mrs. Geisler was very friendly and informative, the key handover went smoothly and you could just feel good, there are a few little things that are still missing, these but were already addressed on departure and as I estimate the owners they will certainly provide a remedy soon, everything was very clean, we will be happy to recommend the holiday home because the location is just great for everyone who is looking for peace and relaxation, Our dog felt very comfortable too
