Werder is a charming little town on the outskirts of Potsdam and Berlin with very good transport links to the two metropolises and, above all, with lots of lakes in the immediate city area. You can jump into the water on almost every corner, rent boats or discover lots of nice little alleys, especially on the historic city island!
