Canoe area Treene: Enjoy the luxury of your own canoe - only 300 m from the 55 km long river. You live tastefully and with a large garden, where you can have a wonderful barbecue in the evening and end the day. If the weather doesn't play along, you can use the covered terrace or make yourself comfortable in front of the fireplace. Huenning is located directly on the Treene, which meanders through the area with its widely branched arms. Not far away begins the Schlei, that beautiful river that stretches with its small villages on the shore to the Baltic Sea. The region is ideal for taking a variety of excursions every day, the beaches of the Baltic Sea and the Wadden Sea of the North Sea are only about 30 km away. You can even explore neighboring Denmark from here. There is a lot of culture to discover in the surrounding cities of Flensburg, Schleswig, Husum and Friedrichstadt, and leisure parks, animal parks, indoor and outdoor pools that are within easy reach promise varied holidays for the whole family. Highlights include: 1 bottle of sparkling wine on arrival as a welcome activity nearby: The Treene not only offers bathing fun and good fishing spots, but is also a wonderful area for canoeists. Nature lovers will find a suitable holiday destination here for long walks and bike rides through green forests. There are also numerous bathing lakes in the region.

The house is nicely decorated, but could have been cleaner. Unfortunately, €0.50/kWh is charged for electricity and I am said to have used almost 900 kWh during a 3-week stay (alone and not in the house during the weekend). This is what a two-person household uses every six months. I would therefore definitely not book again, even if the contact with the landlady was very nice.

Het Ferienhaus Hexenhuus was een heerlijke ontsnapping! De ruime tuin was perfect voor onze avondbarbecues, en we vonden het geweldig om onze eigen kano te hebben om de Treene te verkennen, De gezellige open haard was een leuke aanvulling voor de koelere avonden, Sterk aanbevolen voor natuurliefhebbers!

This was our first time in Huenning, and it was a fantastic experience! The hosts were very accommodating, and the house itself had a charming character, We made great use of the grill in the garden, and the covered terrace was perfect for watching the rain
We had a wonderful stay at Ferienhaus Hexenhuus! The location is perfect for nature lovers, with the beautiful Treene river just a short walk away, We enjoyed kayaking in our own canoe, and the kids had a blast exploring the large garden, The house itself was cozy and clean, with a lovely fireplace that made our evenings special, The welcoming bottle of sparkling wine was a delightful touch! Overall, it was an excellent base for our family adventures, We would definitely return!
