Ferienweingut Emmerich
Directly on the Moselle with vineyardsview
Description
This flat is located almost directly at the famous Moselle River. Relax with a glass of wine on the balcony overlooking the vineyards. The flat is somewhat dated but very complete. A living room with recliners, books and large TV, complete kitchen, bathroom with shower and a comfortable bed. Free parking is possible almost in front of the door. You stay with a wine farmer, with a wine stube in the house-you surely won't leave without a few bottles of wine!
In Traben-Trarbach, a charming town on the Moselle, you immediately feel the peace and charm of the region. Surrounded by vineyards, forests and the meandering river, this is the ideal place to catch your breath. You stroll past art nouveau villas, atmospheric wineries and cosy terraces, while the Moselle flows quietly by your side.
Start your day with a walk along the river or cross the bridge to the other part of town. Both sides have their own character, but share the same relaxed atmosphere. If you are interested in history, be sure to visit the underground wine cellars. Once Europe's second largest wine export port, you can still feel that history under the city's streets. On a guided tour, you will not only taste the stories, but also the wine.
For a great view, climb to the ruins of the Grevenburg. From there, you look out over the valley, the vineyards and the town - a perfect spot for a short break. Prefer to be more active? The cycling routes along the Moselle are flat and beautiful. Along the way, you will pass picturesque villages and wineries where you can stop for a drink or a piece of cake.
Traben-Trarbach also offers a surprising amount of culture. In the city centre, you will find art galleries, boutiques and modern restaurants. There is a creative atmosphere that contrasts nicely with the historical buildings. And in the evening? Then a boat trip on the Moselle is a must. As the sun slowly sinks, watch the landscape change into warm colours, with a glass of local wine in hand.
If you come in summer or autumn, you have a chance to attend one of the region's many wine festivals. The streets are then filled with music, lights and fragrant food. Local winemakers enthusiastically talk about their wines, and before you know it, you are dancing among the vines with a glass in hand.
Traben-Trarbach is not a place to rush through. It is a place to wander, taste and be surprised by the combination of nature, history and hospitality. You don't come here just for the wine, but mainly for the feeling - that you are away from it all for a while, but still at home
