Description
Inside
Immersed in the green of the Euganean Hills Regional Park, Villa degli Ulivi is an elegant country house with swimming pool, surrounded by 17,000 metres of land cultivated with olive trees and orchards, in the ancient and intact medieval village of Arquà Petrarca, in the province of Padua. This very characteristic village is considered one of the pearls of the Veneto region, is located in the heart of the Euganean Hills Park and is part of the circuit of the Most Beautiful Villages in Italy. This place has become famous for having hosted, during the last years of his life, the poet Francesco Petrarca, some of whose places can still be visited today, including the house where he stayed and his tomb. The Villa, located on one of the most beautiful slopes of the town, has two floors and offers a panoramic view of the valley. Villa degli Ulivi consists on the ground floor of a large and bright living room, a dining room, an independent kitchen with dining area and a porch with table and chairs, a large tavern with fireplace, a small laundry area and a bathroom. The sleeping area consists of four bedrooms: one twin and three doubles, one of which has a private bathroom and a loggia overlooking the garden. All the rooms are air-conditioned and very comfortable. From Arquà Petrarca, thanks to its strategic location, you can quickly reach the nearby thermal centres of Abano, Montegrotto and Battaglia, the deepest swimming pool in Italy and the second deepest in the world, better known by the name Y-40 for diver training. The area lends itself well to any sporting activity, cycling, mountain biking, hiking, Nordic walking, climbing and paragliding. Just a few kilometres apart are the four best golf courses in the Euganean Hills, with a total of 150 greens, a true paradise for lovers of this sport. The art cities of Padua, Venice, Vicenza, Treviso, and Verona are also within easy reach, with a considerable number of Venetian villas (Palladio's La Rotonda, Villa Barbarigo in Valsanzibio with its famous labyrinth and historic garden, the Catajo Castle, the Cini Castle, Villa dei Vescovi, and Villa Pisani in Strà. Lastly, to complete everything, there is an almost zero km or so food and wine offer, capable of satisfying any palate, even the most demanding. The swimming pool is open seasonally, from April to October.
