The nearest sandy beach is about 2 km away in the neighboring fishing village of Freest. In the summer season you can also take a small ferry directly from the Kroesliner harbor to the island of Usedom (for people + bicycles). There you will not only find over 40 km of fine Baltic Sea beach, but also many worthwhile destinations, e.g. the seaside resorts with their piers. If you don't want to drive on the island of Usedom, use the spa train or the well-developed cycle paths.
