The shepherd's house in Willingshausen is really a wonderful holiday home. We were greeted by the landlady with fresh apple pie and a large portion of hospitality. We were helped a lot with questions about the area (excursion destinations, etc.). The beautiful half-timbered house is very rustic (as it should be) and radiates complete comfort. Felt at home straight away. The furnishings were precisely tailored to the old half-timbering. The modern bathroom is really a dream. The only minimini drawback is: people over 1.65 m please keep your head down if you want to go through the door. But hey! that is a must with an old half-timbered house. The house is home to many great works of art and you can discover so many interesting things. Would like to come back and are happy to accept the bump on the head. Willingshausen is definitely worth several visits.
Friendly reception. Attractive and artistic decoration. Peaceful and rural environment.
As a welcome there was coffee and cake. It is something like "living in a museum". The decor is lovely, cozy and practical. In winter we had the choice between heating with wood or turning on oil heating. Our children chose the first option because the location is very quiet in a small town. We could walk well between the fields.
The house was better than we could have imagined - quirky and old, built in 1562, with a wood stove and higgledy-piggledy floors, a huge high-ceilinged top floor room bagged by our children, and yet with modern facilities - washing machine, induction hob, shower, wood burning stoves and central heating if needed. More than fully equipped, kind and helpful hosts, beautiful village, little local shops, stunning region for scenery and towns and things to do. We canoed and walked and drank in the scenery. Highly recommended. Would definitely stay there again.
The beautiful fairy-tale house from a distant past, much sfeer.De hospitality is unprecedented. There was freshly baked cakes for us wachten.Tuurlijk it is not a modern house, but everything is aanwezig.Je must have difficulty walking, because the stairs are very steep and oud.Wij go down again to return .
To stay was to live in museum. There was a lot charme.
