Old customs routes on the Gulf, long coastal paths on the Atlantic, beautiful sandy beaches, the Suscinio Castle in Sarzeau and the 11th century abbey church in St. Gildas-de-Rhuys make the peninsula de Rhuys a popular holiday destination. Its microclimate, the original nature with bird sanctuaries and the picturesque Gulf of Morbihan also attract many visitors outside of the summer season.
