Description
Holiday home with 2 bedrooms
In the southeastern corner of Saxony, at the tripoint with the Czech Republic and Poland, a diverse low mountain range invites you to unwind and relax. A particular gem is the Zittau Mountains. Fabulous sandstone cliffs and pristine nature are the special charm of Germany's smallest low mountain range.
And nestled right in the heart of it all is our over 200-year-old "Uhu-Häusl" (Owl House)... winner of the 2008 Umgebindehaus Prize for exemplary restoration. The house was restored in 1998 in accordance with historic preservation guidelines. During the restoration, great care was taken to preserve as much of the original building fabric as possible. From beams and doors to floorboards, windows, furniture, and fixtures, a large part of the original structure was integrated into the "new" UHU-Häusl. You will be rewarded with a special place to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
