There are well-maintained hiking trails in Soini, of which Arpainen is also well suited for mountain biking. Snowmobile trails are also about 7 km away. Vuorenmaa downhill ski slope 25 km, Ähtäri Zoo, Mesikämmen spa restaurant and Moksunniemen Golf 40 km, village shop (Keskinen) at Tuuri 60 km, Activity park Puuhapuisto Veijari 50 km (Saarijärvi).
