Il Fienile
Belvilla by OYO Il Fienile
Description
This detached holiday home has been recently restored, preserving the wooden beamed ceilings and terracotta floors. The house offers a wonderful home base during your discovery of Tuscany! Get to know the neat and atmospheric interior, and enjoy all the comforts in and around the house. Take a refreshing dip in the shared swimming pool, or start a new book on your own private terrace (beautiful view!). There is also a barbecue! Very handy if you want to organize a cozy culinary evening under the stars. A nice way to end the day!
The holiday home offers a beautiful view over the Tuscan landscape. In Monterchi you can go shopping, visit the bank, and you can have a nice meal out.
Tuscany has plenty to offer: for example, you are only 30 km from Arezzo, one of the larger places in the region that has produced many celebrities such as the poet Petrarca and the architect Vasari. Closer to home, the medieval towns of Sansepolcro (17 km) and Città di Castello (15 km) are definitely worth a visit.
Safety devices required by law (fire extinguisher, gas detector and carbon monoxide detector) are present in the house.

Warm welcome, nice people. We came already for the fourth time and really felt at home. The cottage is authentically furnished. In case of problems (the oven did not work), the owner immediately gets to work to solve the problem. The environment is beautiful. You look out over a walnut orchard. Arezzo, Sansepolcro and Corona are nice cities to visit. Slightly further afield Siena, Florence and Montepulciano and the Chianti region are worth a visit.
We are for the third time in this accommodation where you are warmly welcomed by the owners. It is a truly beautiful property, in a picturesque location, on a mountainside overlooking a valley of walnut trees, towards some Tuscan hills. A beautifully landscaped garden and pool area invite you to relax and cool off. The house is spacious and furnished with furniture typical of the country. The beautiful garden is maintained by the 89-year-old landlord, although it has given him some trouble over the years. Unfortunately, he does not speak any foreign languages, so it would have been pointless to send our comments on the accommodation. Please rate this review as well-intentioned advice, then many more guests can spend their vacation here in this beautiful place been repaired. Since the rental prices have risen by around 40% over the period, a few euros in the maintenance of this really beautiful property could certainly also benefit a better booking. At the time of our stay, only 2 out of 6 weeks, there were 2 other guests here. (Nice for us) to complain about in the detached house we live in:- yellowed toilet and seat- shower partition rusted, silicone joints yellowed- washing machine badly rusted- terrace furniture rusty, seat cushions worn- no sun protection (umbrella) on the terrace (we have from fetched pool)- dishes are a hodgepodge of all sorts but enough!- fridge drips and rubber seal crumbly- dirty, stained seat cushions- the mattress on the single bed is saggy- living room set dirty (covered with throws)- the safe cannot be used because the landlord has forgotten the code (for 4 years) - during the final cleaning, care should be taken to ensure that the previous tenants put the dishes clean in the closet, sorry
Location + pool + friendliness very good, very pleasant tourist-friendly area, facilities good, not so good: the occasional sewer odor in the house that was warned in previous reviews applies, we noticed this very annoying odor even when sitting on the terrace; a modernization would do the bathroom good. When sharing a pool with a hostel next to it, it can get noisy and crowded.
Everything great. Very nice hosts. Great welcome.
Great arrival. Owner does not speak English but luckily the neighbor solved that for us by translating. He did speak English. Owner had a plate of bruschetta ready and a cold bottle of wine. Delicious!
Great to find with the Google maps data. Warm welcome with a snack and drink. The house is neat, do not expect a luxury villa, but just a nice house. The terrace outside is lovely, we also actually lived outside. Beautiful views and an occasional swim in the wonderful swimming pool. The upstairs rooms are very warm when the weather is nice, we bought a fan on site at the electronics store. We also had a few very hot days. In Sansepolcro you will find larger supermarkets and is a nice village. Citta di Castello and Anghiari are also nice villages. Arezzo is also close by and worth seeing. In Monterchi you will find restaurant Al Travato (on top of the mountain) where you can eat delicious food from a simple menu.
