La Chiroquoise

The access road to the house is really "off road", which means that any movement with a normal passenger car (let alone a sports or lowered version) becomes quite difficult - we made our ride with an SUV which luckily we manage but car freaks (who scratch or dirt on the car) should therefore never choose this destination! So you are really in peace and tranquility and will never run into anyone here - for our daughters (18 and 21) who just came out of corona for 18 months - seclusion, this is a bit disappointing, but in itself that does not detract from the location: it is beautiful, wooded area with lots of shade, nice swimming pool (which was a bit cold the first days - 23 ° - but today it felt 26 ° wonderful aan.Het cottage itself offers the comfort you expect but also no more: 3 rooms with bathroom (which are certainly OK), a washing machine (no dryer), gas BBQ, a spacious and good fridge with large freezer compartment (3 drawers We were immediately missing two things: an umbrella and air conditioning We really don't think air conditioning is possible, because this is clearly stated in the rental: you will receive a nice explanation from the owner/landlord about eco-cooling with pipes and thick outer walls, etc. and that you have to keep the outside shutters closed during the day so that the sun stays out ... but in the end you chose and paid for a house WITH air conditioning and you do NOT get it. The parasol was brought to us yesterday, for which thanks. with bathroom) but you can - except in the living space inside - nowhere with more than 4 sit together at the table: there is 1 garden table with 4 chairs ... and we had to move it the first days morning, afternoon and evening to make a find a place in the shade. Since last night we have that umbrella that allows us to leave the table in 1 place. It is a nice holiday destination but too expensive for what it offers, we have already had better experiences

Very calm and pleasant place.

In a word 'superb'. The arrival was very well prepared and welcoming. The accommodation is rustic, comfortable and the setting is unbelievable. The only noise to be heard is that of the cicadas and other than yourselves you will only share the surrounding area with the wildlife. The property is well situated, with easy access to the coast or the mountains. The local villages have many good restaurants. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone who enjoys piece, quiet and the outdoors.
