Description
The spacious country house is residentially located amid the exuberant nature of Corrèze. It is built of natural stone in the style of the typical ‘granges’ or barns of the Limousin region.
The holiday house is furnished in a rustic style and has all modern comforts. The kitchen is particularly well equipped and offers every opportunity for good cooking. The upper floor consists of 2 large, open-plan bedrooms with comfortable beds that are made up on arrival.
The large garden of over 40 acres of private land is a delight to relax in. Take a nap in the hammock, swim a few lengths in the heated swimming pool, sunbathe on the wooden sundeck, have breakfast or a barbecue in the sun on the large terrace... Here you will find everything you need for a peaceful and relaxing stay.
The surrounding area also offers plenty of opportunities for an enjoyable holiday.
A few kilometres away is Auriac, a cute village by a lake with swimming facilities. The gardens of Les Jardins de Sothys are on the lakeside. The restaurant of the same name is a culinary must. The Dordogne, which is in the immediate vicinity, offers stunning views from several vantage points. Charming towns such as Argentat, Salers or the many ‘plus beaux villages de France’ in the area are worth a visit, as are the ruins of the Tours de Merle or Les Fermes du Moyen-Âge. The area also invites to an active holiday: canoeing on the Dordogne, long walks in the woods or maybe even skiing in the Monts de Cantal. In short, this holiday home offers something for everyone.

It is a very nice house, wonderful beds and fantastic tranquility. Nice pool in the warm weather. Key code on arrival did not work, but was solved directly by Belvilla by telephone. It was really great.
It is a large, spacious house with a large garden around. The equipment is good and complete. The kitchen is certainly fully equipped. The house was neat and clean. By the way, garbage containers are just a few houses away. The upper floor is warm in the sun, but fortunately there is a small air conditioning. Totally had no problems with the dogs in the neighborhood.
The house and grounds are very good and beautiful. The communication possibilities with belvilla are miserable!! There is no usable information on the address "no-replay@... Why do you give it at all? Then there was a promising phone call with your colleague "Anita". She gave us the email address info@belvilla.com - ok so far "So we send an email to this address. We immediately get the message that this address is no longer active. Do you want to annoy and upset your customers..........??? We'll tell you one thing right now close - no more belvilla!! And another issue. The water quality is, to put it mildly, unbearable (totally green water). At Belvilla, nobody is interested in this, but you are referred to the contact person. Unfortunately, they don't speak German and we only a little French. However, Madame Gorgeon reacted quickly. As a service provider and our contractual partner, it would be right if you took up the information and then reacted accordingly please delete our e-mail address in your advertising campaigns. Thanks What else is wrong? The address is not complete, your information on latitude and longitude is completely wrong, so it was not possible to orientate yourself. Lovely house in a beautiful quiet location! Nice walking area and cozy Argentat nearby.
Our stay looked very good at the first moment. however, this was only apparent. the gas tank was not topped up, so we were without hot water or heating for two and a half days. the first day there was just enough gas to cook on the gas fire, the second day this was no longer the case. contacted the owners and they were unable to help us other than to notify the gas supplier. We had to make do with 2 small electric fires and the stove for which we had to provide the wood ourselves. This is indeed stated in the description that there is no wood available, but if the heating does not work you are obliged to incur additional costs otherwise we would never have used this stove. We have stated several times that we have two children aged 2 and 4 and the stove was really not enough to heat the large room (the whole house is 1 large room, including the bedroom(s). to pay attention to details and then the hygiene really left something to be desired.Veel dead flies, dust on the hood, cobwebs on the beams, behind the stove is not often cleaned I think.Very unfortunate this experience because the house has everything to to make it a nice holiday, but this was not successful due to the above things. Fortunately, the last two days were nice weather because that was also bad for the first two days, the owner can of course do nothing about this, but if you rain all day and then no heating or hot water, you can already guess the mood in the house with 2 young children and dogs that can hardly or not outside.
The environment is beautiful. Peace, nature, small villages ... great if you like peace. You can also go there with your dogs, as the house is surrounded by a huge garden. This is not locked, and very regularly strange dogs on the floor. So that can sometimes be an issue. The house is otherwise pleasant and luxurious. Equipped with all necessary comfort. However, the bedroom is a large space, so if you go there with several couples, you will not have any privacy. Important to know. 1 downside for me is also the bed. The mattresses are very soft, which in my case causes back pain. This is of course a personal preference, but I had back pain for 1 week because of this. Everything else was fine. Also had an issue during our stay, but the owner has solved this nicely. Do not expect any help from Bellevilla itself, they just send you walking. All in all, a very nice environment and a pleasant stay.
