Description
Stay with Pool, Malmedy
Malmedy works especially well for groups who do not want to choose between outdoor activity and town life, and this detached holiday home fits naturally into that rhythm. Hiking trails, cycling routes, lake afternoons, café stops, and long evenings back at the house all become part of the stay without requiring much planning in advance. Sleeping up to 22 guests across 11 bedrooms, the property suits extended families, cycling groups, and outdoor weekends centred around the High Fens region.
The atmosphere stays social without feeling chaotic. Some evenings become long billiards tournaments after dinner, while others shift toward the sauna and relaxation area once everyone comes back from the forests around Robertville or Signal de Botrange. During warmer weather, the terrace and barbecue naturally take over while the surrounding streets become quieter later in the evening.
The centre of Malmedy sits roughly 500 metres away and is best explored through its bakeries, cafés, smaller local restaurants, and town square terraces. Malmundarium can be reached within around 3 minutes by car and offers exhibitions focused on regional history inside a former monastery complex. Lake Robertville is approximately 2 km away for kayaking, swimming, fishing, and lakeside walks during summer, while the High Fens boardwalk trails and Signal de Botrange remain especially popular with hikers and cyclists throughout the year. During winter, nearby ski routes completely change the atmosphere of the surrounding landscape.
The property works particularly well for guests planning active long weekends in eastern Belgium rather than slower countryside stays.
