The area around Westerdeichstrich is perfect for long bike tours along the coast. If you don't want to take your own bikes with you, you can rent them on site.

In Westerdeichstrich you can relax wonderfully away from the tourist crowds. The rural and natural little town is very close to the North Sea dike with the Wadden Sea World Heritage Site. The well-kept four-kilometer-long green beach offers plenty of space for sunbathing, swimming in the North Sea waters and, of course, for exciting mudflat hikes.

Excursion tips: Büsum with its harbor and maritime atmosphere, boat trips from Brunsbüttel, the seal stadium in Friedrichskoog or a day trip to Heligoland, Germany's only offshore island.
