During the winter season, the surrounding region has much to offer skiers and snowboarders. The nearest ski area is Hochzillertal - Hochfügen, which offers slopes leading directly to Aschau and is known for excellent freeriding. Another popular ski area is the Spieljoch, where families especially feel at home.
