Located in Saint-Caprais, this 2-bedroom holiday home is ideal for couples on romantic getaway or a family travelling with children. This home also has a terrace to enjoy scenic and panoramic views.
Lovers of peace, quiet and nature will love this vacation home near Saint-Caprais. Your home is set in a large clearing in the forest, where it's great to take a stroll. The thick walls of the living room date back to 1663 (with a period fireplace), giving the house an atmosphere of yesteryear, while adding a touch of modernity. In the middle of two garden sheds, you'll find an enclosed garden where a large lime tree provides shade.
There's plenty to do in the surrounding area. The Zadkine museum is 10km away, in the village of Les Arques. The house straddles the Dordogne and Lot departments. The Dordogne valley, with its castles and medieval towns, is a must. But the same applies to the Lot towns of Besse (13 km) and Puy-l'-Evêque (18 km). The lakes of Cazals (9 km) and Prats-du-Périgord (16 km) are perfect for a refreshing swim.
Needless to say, you won't be able to resist a glass of fine French wine. Here, you're just a few kilometers from the Cahors vineyards, with their many châteaux where you can enjoy a fine vintage while visiting the estate. The well-known wine town of Cahors (38 km) is not to be missed, as is a visit to Château de Bonaguil (25 km), and Gourdon (29 km).
NB: The owner of the house does not charge you for electricity up to 11.43KWh per night. Beyond this limit, you'll have to pay for it yourself.

House from 1663. 2 bedrooms, each with a double bed. 1 bedroom with good linen closet. 1 bedroom with a wardrobe and a chest of drawers. Beds not made on arrival. 8 euros pp for bed linen. Bathroom with sink, toilet and 80 x 80 cm shower. Kitchen with large oven and gas stove. Washing machine and dishwasher. Kitchen supplies available. Small dining area in kitchen. Living room with dining area. sideboard. A 2.5 seater sofa and 1 armchair. Very saggy. 1 small chair. Large fireplace. Wood available. In large closet a TV and DVD player. No Dutch channel. Radio present. BBQ outside. However, no barbecue tongs or anything like that. Front and rear outside a seat with table and plastic bucket seats. 2 good sunbeds. In his side shed there were still 4 sunbeds, but they looked dirty and shabby. Lots of cobwebs in the house. i.a. in the bedroom and under the kitchen chairs. Doors cannot be locked. Just the front door. Others are closed with shutters, but these are not well maintained so are easy to open. Located on large spacious grounds. But very remote. Car definitely necessary.
Beautiful house, wonderful location, very quiet and secluded. However, there are also longer trips to places of interest, always around 40 km! For us, rest and relaxation were the priority and we were happy to accept the driving, that was not a problem. Therefore: 5 stars!
Very unique location, romantic. The children can play outside here. Lots of space both inside and out. For people who love absolute peace.

Splendid house, with a lot of charm, isolated in a magnificent environment. Presence of many games for children which is very appreciable. Complete house equipment. Remarkable welcome and quality interpersonal skills with the very warm owners, available and attentive. A place to go and to come back without hesitation.
Nice welcome with very tasty vegetables and a bottle of wine. Warm, correct and proud owner. Justly.
